G Series
Waverley Tennis is excited to launch G Series - a new term-based competition created for female tennis players who want to play competitive tennis in a format that feels social, supportive, and team-driven. It has also been designed for clubs who do not have enough girls to field an all-girls team and/or have female players that don't like playing in open competition, but want to keep playing.

Launching as a pilot in Term 4, the G Series brings together players nominated by our member clubs into six teams of four players, to compete on five Sunday afternoons in the Waverley triples competition format. All teams will play at the same venue each week, and there is an opportunity for clubs to be host venues for each of the five rounds, if they have 6 courts available (2 per match).
More details about the competition and what you need to do to get involved are provided in this slide pack.
To nominate female players and to express interest as a club in hosting one of the rounds (either for Term 4 2026, Term 1 2027 and/or both), please complete the nomination form here:

Once nominations are closed (August 31st), we will convene a meeting to select teams, with the term 4 season starting October 18th (one week later than the Summer season). Our aim is to create 6 competitive teams from both an ability and social perspective, which is why we will consider both terms of play at the same time. We do not see any issues with players who want to play both the standard Summer competition and G series.
Competition information and the link to register will be added to our web-site under the competitions tab, and an overview will be provided at our AGM next week.
