Waverley Tennis - Club Membership

Waverley Tennis has approximately 90 clubs with teams in one or more of the competitions that we run.

Clubs that enter teams in any of the competitions that Waverley Tennis runs must be members of Waverley Tennis.

Our membership year runs July 1st to June 30th and annual membership is $50.00.

Members must have representation at three meetings per year (held face to face, no proxy representation), or they will be fined.

  1. The Waverley Tennis AGM (usually late August each year), where each member club has one vote. Clubs without a representative in attendance are fined.
  2. The Winter Season Match Convenor Meeting held the week prior to the Winter Season commencing. Clubs without a representative in attendance are fined. Note that Clubs without teams in the Winter Season do not need to attend.
  3. The Summer Season Match Convenor Meeting held the week prior to the Summer Season commencing. Clubs without a representative in attendance are fined. Note that Clubs without teams in the Summer Season do not need to attend.

Waverley Tennis does not offer pro rata membership. For example, if a club wants to enter a team in our Winter competition, which typically runs end April through to end August each year, they would pay $50 when they join/enter a team, usually in the March prior to the season commencing, and then pay $50 again at the beginning of the membership year (July).
